There is country rock and there is shit-kicking Whiskey Meyers country rock. If you are a pop-radio-friendly-country fan, please stop reading because you are wasting your time. WM twang slaps you in the face and doesn't stop- and folks that is a good thing, and not in a sadomasochistic way. Graveled voices, grungy-oily guitars and back porch foot stomping. These songs matter to them. They are singing about themselves and they could give two shits if you care. Play it loud. Play it sweaty. Then roll over the nearest radio with your pick-up truck.
