Listening is not enough. See the music and it's history. Take a music themed vacation.

Boxy, passe layout, crappy colors, no pictures okay... You've seen right through us. There has been little care given to the aesthetics of the design. Again, our assumption is that you just want the goods. You don't need slick and possibly shun slick. We want you to be able to use the site satisfactorily by swapping music or reading or offering reviews of recorded music, but we're not going for superficial . There are other assumptions here as well;

• you are already knowledgeable on the music you want to swap or swap for.
• Your not here to shop but to swap.
• you actually would like to read some straightforward opinions that aren't backed by or influenced by record executives.
• radio ain't doin' it for ya'
• your collection is in alphabetical order and chronological within and possibly section by genre.
• club shows outweigh arena shows and jazz is best seen in smoky, dark, cavernous dives.

Not to get philosophical, but we want a site with soul not flash. I know, we all like a little glitz now and then but I'm sure when you get down to it (in regards to your discussions about our beloved subject) you want the music straight up. "You like or don't like this why- in 50 words or less." You don't need to know if the artist likes eggs, been to Turkey or reads Wadsworth. You can go to their personal web site for that stuff. I know, enough already.....
