Music Snob appears to be a little
derogatory, what do you mean by it? As noted on the site, the
assumption is being made that you already know what you are
looking for and you are music educated enough to not need to
listen, research and read everything about the artists. For
that we suggest going to artist's web sites or any of the
major on line retailers or industry magazines.
Why swap used music instead of selling
on an auction site? You get more for your
used music. There are so many people trying to sell used discs
that unless you have something extremely rare you will
normally not earn enough to even buy one disc. By swapping,
the worst you can do is get new music of comparable value.
Can I swap books and DVDs? Only books and
DVDs about or concerning music.
We reserve the right to delete any entries not currently
within our model.
Can I swap any format of music? If it is in our media menu
then you can swap it. The only major formats not included currently
are reel to reel or 78s. All recordings must be original
store bought copies.
Is selling allowed?
Yes. Terms
are between you and the
seller. We suggest listing your item with a price that includes any shipping and handling
fees.
How does the transaction get
completed?
If you find
an item, after viewing what is being offered for swap, that
you would like to attain, you would click on the swap link and
offer your inventory for that member to view. If they like an
item they'll let you know and once you agree the deal is done.
Both parties will pay for their own shipping and send item
within 5 business days. The transaction is considered final
after each swapping member accepts to proposed swap.
Note: transactions not confirmed, or contested, after 21 days
will be considered complete.
Can I sell a box of LPs, CDs etc.. ?
Yes. We have resources listed on our site that will
buy lots and we have a blog where you can list your lots for
others to see. We suggest listing your item with a price that
includes any shipping and handling fees.
Does YKEEP buy cds/lps
etc...?
Yes. But we
are not in the business of buying and selling music.
If something gets listed that we have an interest in, we will
go after it. But I wouldn't contact us about buying your lots instead check out
our LP resources pages (see left
menu).
